warm, forgiving computer.

I tried to paint the circus paintings today but it went horribly horribly wrong. I'm going to try again once I have regrouped some self-esteem. In the meantime, here is a birthday drawing for my friend Jen, of her character Koko. And a chicken. This should also be painted, but see aforementioned self-esteem.

Don't be discouraged by paint. It's all part of the process. I'm sure you'll find your way.

Your drawings are wonderful. I'm very tempted to buy one of your prints from Nucleus (biting my nails).

Cheers

Yay Koko! I want a pet hen! Vera, to boost your self-esteem, I completely love all of your work, ever since I first read return to sender, which led me to discover Flight, which lead to a world of love for all of the wonderful artists like Kazu and Jen and Clio, which led to a decision about what I wanted to do in life. Keep up the great work! P.S., I was wondering if I could adapt "Salmoning" for use as a final project for my intro to 2d animation class. It would be the bestest privilege!

Yeeeaaa..it happens especially if your using wet media like watercolor, I go through that all the time. Then the trusty PhotoShop makes it all better! This piece though is great, I love the warmth of it and the chicken!!
