warm, forgiving computer.
I tried to paint the circus paintings today but it went horribly horribly wrong. I'm going to try again once I have regrouped some self-esteem. In the meantime, here is a birthday drawing for my friend Jen, of her character Koko. And a chicken. This should also be painted, but see aforementioned self-esteem.

Hey! I'm from Brazil, I discover your blog and site a few days ago. I'm shocked. You are the best. Sorry this groupie thing... and... tanks! hahaha
Bye! See ya!
Don't be discouraged by paint. It's all part of the process. I'm sure you'll find your way.
Your drawings are wonderful. I'm very tempted to buy one of your prints from Nucleus (biting my nails).
Cheers
Man Jen Wang is hella dope - so are you though. Why aren't MY friends this dope?! >:( (glares at his friends...)
Yay Koko! I want a pet hen! Vera, to boost your self-esteem, I completely love all of your work, ever since I first read return to sender, which led me to discover Flight, which lead to a world of love for all of the wonderful artists like Kazu and Jen and Clio, which led to a decision about what I wanted to do in life. Keep up the great work! P.S., I was wondering if I could adapt "Salmoning" for use as a final project for my intro to 2d animation class. It would be the bestest privilege!
Cool design!!
Awesome stuff Vera. I love your style and coming here is always a huge inspiration for me. Keep 'em coming.
