a fascinating peek into my process...

...or me scrabbling for blog content. Whatever. I'm working on a couple of paintings for a show and today I did my preliminary cintiq sketch-and-color. I'm going to print these out in b/w and transfer them onto watercolor paper, then paint them according to my color choices, because I am incapable of making decisions when there's paint drying.

Back on the old circus bandwagon... surprising no one.

Very nice! Do you find that printing and transferring them loses spontaneity? Do you miss the X-Treme X-citement of making color choices on the fly?

clio - you can never have too many circus folk, I think.

ben - penciling straight onto the final paper and making fly color choices are the kinds of excitement I make every effort to avoid!
